A Good Cry

A  few hours ago I did something that was long overdue….. I had a good cry.

WAIT…..

Disclaimer:  I did install the “anti-pity app” and trust me …you will be kicked out of this site, if at any point you say “awwwww”….so consider yourself warned my posts are intended for those suffering from insomnia are in need of something to make them sleepy!

*ahem…. now where was I?….. oh yeah..

A few hours ago I had a good cry…. I had a very bad day, which pretty much means things didn’t go my way!

One unexpected event was me riding the train after work and having my dad pick me up at the station, then biting my tongue and holding back tears when he chewed me out for my lack of communication (I know I’m not a kid anymore, but the man still scares me!)

I won’t go into further details because…well it’s my post and I can do as I please, but trust me when I say it was  a bad day.

My monkeys (three handsome boys) had gone with their dad for the weekend, so it was just me, myself and I when another unexpected event happened…..I cried like a baby!

It was not the cute cry you see in the movies….this was the snot nosed crying you do in the privacy of your own home and is sometimes followed by Ben & Jerry’s “Chunky Monkey” ice cream!

After burying my head under the pillow to prevent myself from pulling my hair ( I never said I wasn’t dramatic) I received an unexpected phone call from someone who made me feel better and who was nice enough not to hang up after hearing me vent and cry. He reminded me that I have gone through worse….and he’s right. (can’t believe I just admitted that)

Something wonderful came out of this good cry…..vision. Without realizing it, I became blind to the miracles of each day due to everyday stress. I can see clearly now.

I have three amazing boys who are my life, I see clearly because of them. They see the beauty of everyday life, they notice and pay close attention to even to the tiniest detail, like the beauty of a rock.

It also helps that my monkeys drive me bananas and make me laugh with their jokes and sarcasm (not sure where they get that from) but that’s a whole other post! ;)

“You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one. Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own. It’s just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.”

~Paulo Coelho

Life pulls us in so many different directions and it can get stressful. We forget to make time to notice the beauty of life. So when you have your dramatic cry….. just make sure you take time to smell the roses or pick up a rock to admire it’s beauty. Oh I almost forgot, Ben & Jerry’s “Karamel Sutra” ice cream is good too! (my favorite!)

Disclaimer: I am not being endorsed by Ben & Jerry’s, but it doesn’t hurt to cross my eyes and wish for free samples!

My Favorite Salsa Song…….

This site is my new baby….. I just designed it…it’s different from my other sites. It is a blog and though I’m not sure what direction I’m going to take,  I knew I had to create it.

One thing for sure I will definitely be posting about dancing, so for my first post I uploaded this video.

“Yo No Se Mañana” by Luis Enrique  my favorite Salsa song….

This song means a lot to me, so when I’m out dancing…..I HAVE to dance to this song…. It’s a must! It’s about living in the now and not worrying about the future. Enjoy this song and I hope the lyrics mean something to you as they do for me.
